A word from emily
How to find your way when you’re feeling overwhelmed.
technique
Tiny Titans and Junior Champs
Here’s a simple submission that you can help your child learn this week.
Adult all-level bjj
The video shows a self defense move that is effective if someone grabs your throat or hair from in front of you. First, grab their wrist with both hands. Think about making a C shape with your hands and make this grip on their wrist. Step across toward your opponent and bring your elbow over the arm that is gripping you. As you sink your weight you will hyperextend the elbow. You can also turn this into a wrist lock, or do both.
Adult Fundamentals
Since José had to miss last week’s class, he’ll be teaching this movement this week.
Adult Advanced
With all of the lapel work we’ve been doing, you’re going to want strong grips. Here’s how to build them.
Hybrid Kickboxing
Coach Mike will continue to teach how to build combos using the HKB numbers system. Use the top video above to familiarize yourself with it.
The second portion of Coach Mike’s lesson will build on the Sit Drill, which teaches you to hit with power, then bob your head to avoid a counter.
Tuesday Combinations
Smokin’ Joe Frazier’s Fight combos used in Ali/Frazier 1
