A word from emily

How can we bring adaptability into our lives and Jiu Jitsu?

Tiny Titans and Junior Champs

Help your child (or yourself) learn how to use their legs and arms to build frames and recompose the guard.

Adult all-level bjj

The following videos provide two self-defense techniques off a wrist grab and a shoulder push. To release yourself from the wrist hold, twist your wrist so that your wrist bone is lined up with the point where your opponent’s fingers come together (see video closeup). This is the weakest point of their grip. Pull in that direction and step back. The second technique shows a wrist lock submission off a shoulder push. Here you trap their wrist against your chest. Cup the elbow with your other hand and move in to bend the wrist back. Once the wrist is trapped you can reinforce the elbow with both hands if needed.

Adult Fundamentals

José will be building more on inversions this week.

Adult Advanced

Coach Shane covers how to use mind mapping to build your game.

Hybrid Kickboxing

Coach Mike will continue to teach how to build combos using the HKB numbers system. Use the top video above to familiarize yourself with it.

The second portion of Coach Mike’s lesson will build on elbows thrown from the clinch position. Use the second video to get your elbow mechanics down.
